On-Call Replacement Opportunities

The Board maintains a roster of available and qualified temporary/casual staff for assignment to cover employee absences. Replacement staff are assigned from a pool on an as-needed basis.

NOTE: The starting/ending times of a position cannot interfere with an employee's one half hour lunch break.

Type of Replacement Work Special Requirements
Aquatics Instructor

Applicants must hold current Canadian Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Award and Lifesaving Society Instructor Certificate; National Lifeguard Services Lifeguard Certificate; and Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR-C or equivalent.
A mandatory pool test is required for candidates selected for an interview.

Call Centre Agent

Secondary school diploma and one year of related experience including extensive telephone communication experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven ability to communicate effectively with a customer service focus, ability to deal with difficult calls/situations and to take appropriate action in stressful or emergency situations according to Board and/or department procedures/guidelines and familiarity with telecommunications, radio, surveillance and building automation systems.

Child & Youth Worker

Applicants must possess a Child and Youth Care or Child and Youth Worker diploma. 

No other education qualifications (including B.A. CYC) will be considered.

Deaf Blind Intervenor  
Designated Early Childhood Educator

Designated Bilingual Early Childhood Educator

Applicants must hold a two-year Community College Early Childhood Education Diploma or Equivalent, be registered with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, and be fluent in oral and written communication in English and French.

Supply Clerical position for LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) Programs. 12 Locations across TDSB. Providing administrative assistance and general office support to the operation of LINC programs.
