Important Notice for all Students
Effective IMMEDIATELY, Toronto District School Board will no longer be accepting traditional
bank wires (International or Domestic) as a method of payment for tuition and other applicable fees. Switching
to the CIBC International Student Pay Portal for tuition payment offers convenience and
security for students.
How Can I Pay?
CIBC International Student Pay Portal
Paying your tuition through the CIBC Portal is quick and easy — log onto CIBC International Student Pay and enter
your payment details.
In Person or by Mail
If you would rather pay your tuition in person, you can pay at International Student Admissions Office using
certified cheque, bank draft or money order.
Certified cheques, bank drafts or money orders must be made payable to
Toronto District School Board and include your student
TISP ID in the memo. Cheques missing this information or are postdated will be returned.

The Application fee of CDN$350 should be made with credit card through our online application portal.
For regions where online payment is not available, the application fee can be made payable to the
Toronto District School Board by Bank Draft, Money Order or Certified Cheque and must be attached to the
application. The Application Fee is
non-refundable.

Full Year: CDN $16,000.00 (Sep to Jun or Feb to Jan)
One Semester: CDN $8,000.00 (Sep to Jun or Feb to Jun)

- Tuition Fee is to be made payable to the Toronto District School Board through
the CIBC International Student Pay portal or by Bank Draft, Money Order or Certified Cheque in
Canadian currency. Use of the CIBC International Student Pay portal is recommended.
- Emergency Medical Insurance is included in the tuition fee. A comprehensive
health insurance plan is mandatory in Ontario and every international student must have this
coverage while studying in Toronto.

Refund Policy
I. STUDY PERMIT REFUSAL REFUND
A full tuition fee refund (minus the $500 administrative fee) will be granted if IRCC does not issue the study
permit. To obtain a full tuition fee refund, the student must submit the following documents within sixty (60)
calendars days of the issue date of the original refusal letter from IRCC:
1. a copy of the original letter of refusal received from IRCC;
2. a copy of the official TDSB letter of acceptance;
3. a copy of the original receipt of tuition payment; and
4. a completed and signed refund request form from the parent/guardian or adult student (18 years
of age or older).
No refund will be issued if the student fails to submit any of the above within sixty (60) days from the
issue date of the original refusal letter from IRCC.
II. PARTIAL REFUND
If a student withdraws at least thirty (30) calendar days or more prior to the commencement of the program as
prescribed in the official TDSB letter of acceptance
, two-thirds of the tuition fee will be refunded.
The following documents are required:
1. a copy of the official TDSB letter of acceptance;
2. a copy of the original receipt of tuition payment; and
3. a completed and signed refund request form from the parent/guardian or adult student (18 years
of age or older).
If a student withdraws less than thirty (30) calendar days before or after the commencement of the program as
prescribed in the official TDSB letter of acceptance,
one-half of the tuition fee will be refunded.
The following documents are required:
1. a copy of the official TDSB letter of acceptance;
2. a copy of the original receipt of tuition payment; and
3. a completed and signed refund request form from the parent/guardian or adult student (18 years
of age or older).
III. REFUND WITH IMMIGRATION STATUS CHANGE
If the immigration status of a student changes prior to or during the school year, contact TDSB International
Students and Admissions Office immediately to have immigration documents verified. Immigration status change does
not apply to students whose parents obtain work permit or study permit after the commencement of the student’s
program at TDSB.
Requests for refund as a result of immigration status change of the student will NOT be considered if received after
OCTOBER 15 for Semester 1 or APRIL 15 for Semester 2.
IV. NO REFUND
There will be NO refund of the tuition fee in the following circumstances:
1. If the student withdraws after thirty (30) calendar days from the commencement of the program as
outlined in the official TDSB letter of acceptance.
2. if the student chooses to withdraw for any reasons other than reasons set out in the Study
Permit Refusal Refund, Immigration Status Change Refund and Partial Refunds sections above.
3. if the student is found in violation of TDSB’s policies and procedures.
4. if false or fraudulent information was provided, including providing false medical information
or non-disclosure of medical conditions or prescribed medications, in the Student Application Form.
Please also note:
- An administration Fee of $500.00 CAD will be deducted from each refund request.
- Refund will only be issued to the parents or the custodian in the application record of the
student.
- The TDSB shall not be held liable for losses or expenses as a result of the Board being
unable to provide education owing to labour disputes or other causes beyond control.

We encourage all students to submit applications through our online application portal and pay the
application fee with credit card.
For countries where credit card option is not available, application fee should be made payable to the Toronto
District School Board in Canadian currency by Bank Draft, Money Order or Certified Cheque.

to pay your student fees in your preferred currency1 from anywhere in the world, at any time, in four easy steps:

- PROVIDE PAYMENT DETAILS
Once you enter the CIBC International Student Pay platform, simply enter the tuition amount in Canadian dollars,
then identify your preferred country. You’ll be shown the amount required in your preferred currency1 to pay
your student fees in Canadian dollars based on the competitive FX foreign currency rate CIBC is providing
Toronto District School Board. This quoted exchange rate is locked-in for 72 hours2 – this means nowhich means
there are no currency fluctuations during that this period as you finalize your transaction.
- ENTER PAYER DETAILS
Enter payer details – whether it is you, your parents or an agent acting on your behalf. Carefully review the
Terms & Conditions provided by CIBC, and when ready, click “Accept” and “Submit”.
- INITIATE TRANSFER
Print the payment instructions and reference code and deliver to your local bank within 72 hours2. Your bank
simply follows the instructions and sends the funds to Toronto District School Board.

You’ll also receive status updates and email reminders until your payment is complete, and you can check the status
of your payment online at any time. You will receive a confirmation email when Toronto District School Board
receives your payment.

Option 2: Bank Draft
Please make the bank draft payable to Toronto District School Board and mail or bring it in person
to our office along with the conditional letter of acceptance.
