Boundary Review
Reason for the Boundary Change:
Niagara St Jr PS has experienced an increase in enrolment and is operating at capacity, which has resulted in accommodation pressures at the school. In addition, the school building and site are relatively small, which does not allow for space expansions or placement of portables for any future growth.
The TDSB has formed a Local Feasibility Team made up of central TDSB staff to discuss additional strategies to address continued accommodation pressures at Niagara St Jr PS. An attendance boundary change has been proposed to designate a portion of the Niagara St Jr PS attendance boundary to The Waterfront School. The proposed boundary change would be implemented for September 2025.

We would like to notify you of a change to the Boardroom schedule effecting the proposed attendance boundary change involving Niagara Street Junior Public School, Ryerson Community School, and The Waterfront School.
The final staff report for the proposed boundary change will now be presented at the Planning and Priorities Committee meeting on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 4:30 pm. A final decision will be made at the Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday May 22, 2024.
