International Languages Elementary and African Heritage

African Heritage (AH)

Toronto District School Board’s (TDSB) African Heritage Program connects students, from Kindergarten to Grade 8, to the contributions of people of African descent, their histories, cultures and traditions, through inquiry and experiential learning.

International Languages – Elementary (ILE)

Open to all students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, International Language program offers language learning with engaging activities like games and songs. No language background is necessary.

Summer Program- ILE and AH

Our ILE summer program combines language & culture learning with engaging activities like games, songs, dance, storytelling, and writing. No language background knowledge is necessary. Afternoon culture programs, run by community groups, are also available at a number of our sites

Our AH summer program connects students to the contributions of people of African descent, their histories, cultures and traditions, through inquiry and experiential learning.

Program Officer Commemorates National Day of Romania

International Languages Elementary Program Officer, Livia Popa, was invited by the Consulate General of Romania to participate and speak on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the flag raising ceremony to commemorate the National Day of Romania. The event took place at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, Queen’s Park and was a unique and memorable event that Livia will never forget!
