Boundary Review
Virtual Public Meeting
Thank you for attending our public meeting on February 13, 2023.
The meeting presentation and notes can be found under the “Meeting – Community Engagement” tab below.
Reason for Public Meeting:
As of September 2018, ten residential towers within the Eglinton Jr PS boundary were temporarily redirected to Whitney Jr PS to reduce enrolment pressures at Eglinton Jr PS.
Currently, Whitney’s enrolment increased above capacity and is experiencing space pressures. As a result, TDSB staff are recommending that 8 of the 10 residential towers be returned to local schools, effective September 2023. This includes returning 6 addresses to Eglinton Jr PS and 2 addresses to John Fisher Jr PS. This is possible because enrolments have recently decreased at Eglinton Jr PS and John Fisher Jr PS and space is now available.
Please refer to the Questions and Answers document for additional information on this review - Updated February 23, 2023.
