Transportation FAQs

I attend school outside the attendance area. Am I eligible for transportation?

Unless you attend your designated French immersion school or placed at another school by the TDSB, you are not eligible for transportation.

I have been approved to receive TTC tickets. How do I pick them up?

Each school has their own method of administering TTC tickets. Please contact your Principal.

My application for transportation has been denied. What are my options?

If you feel that you should still be eligible to receive transportation, you may write an appeal letter to the Operations Manager at transportation@tdsb.on.ca. If your appeal is denied, you will receive a written letter from the Transportation department indicating why you do not fall within our transportation policy. Your appeal may be escalated to an Appeal Committee where a final decision is made.

Do students in French Immersion and Gifted programs transportation?

Due to budgetary pressures, the TDSB will no longer be providing tickets/tokens to students in Grades 9-12 in the French Immersion, Extended French and Gifted programs as of September 2019. In cases of financial need where the student was previously eligible (living beyond 4.8 km from their French/Gifted school), schools may continue to provide TTC tickets/tokens. Please contact your school Principal if you require more information.
