Looking for ways to bring Climate Change Education (CCE) into your classroom? You’re invited to join the TDSB’s new board-wide Professional Learning Community to help teachers develop knowledge and skills to lead CCE in your classroom and community.

The Climate Change Literacy & Leadership Program (CLLP) will use a collaborative inquiry approach to centre teachers’ interests, experiences and expertise in CCE as the starting point, and support teachers’ ongoing learning to deepen their skills in facilitating CCE learning and climate justice approaches with their students, colleagues and communities. Teachers will be provided with release to engage in four days of professional learning throughout the 2023-24 year, working in collaboration with other teachers, EcoSchools leaders & OISE faculty.

This PLC is suitable for teachers with some experience in Environmental & Sustainability Education, who would like to further develop their knowledge, practice, and leadership skills in CCE. As spaces are limited, applications are now being accepted from K-12 teachers (until November 17th), with the program beginning in early December. Questions? EcoSchools@tdsb.on.ca
