The TDSB’s Inner City Advisory Committee (or “ICAC”) was established in June 2005 through a motion approved by the Board of Trustees:
“That the Inner City Advisory Committee be comprised of the following members:
- A minimum of three trustees
- Two superintendents of education
- Four parent or community representatives
- One Elementary Teachers of Toronto representative
- One CUPE, Local 4400, representative
- One representative from Professional Student Services Personnel (OSSTF, District 12, Unit A)
- One representative from the Toronto School Administrators Association
- One Special Education representative
- One Employee Services representative
- One supervising principal, Program Support
- One staff member from Facility Services
- One representative from OISE/UT, Faculty of Education
- One representative from York University, Faculty of Education
- One representative from another institution of higher learning
- One representative from the City of Toronto
- One representative from the Toronto Public Health
- Further participation invited as determined by the committee” (May 18, 2005)
