Secondary Schools without a Boundary Priority Technology Seats
Applicants can request to be considered for a Priority Technology seat. These applicants will also be considered for a Regular Program seat. When results are shared, you will be notified whether your child has been offered a Tech seat or a Regular seat at their requested Secondary School without a Boundary. In accepting the Tech seat, your child is committing to taking one technology course each year they are attending the Secondary School without a Boundary. Failure to request/take a technology course will result in their return to their designated school by address. Applicants being offered a Tech seat will not be considered for a regular seat as well.
Applicants who applied to an Out-of-Area Option AND a Secondary School without a Boundary Option
- When you apply, you will be asked to select which if your choices is your first choice school. If you are seated at your first choice school, you will not be considered for your second choice school.
- If you are on the waitlist for your first choice school, you may be seated or placed on a waitlist for your second choice school.
- If your child has been offered a seat in their second choice school and a seat becomes available in their first choice school, they will receive an offer for the first choice school and be removed from the seat at the second choice school. This seat will be offered to another student. This action cannot be reversed once made. You must accept the newly offered seat at the first choice school before it expires. Should you wish they be removed from the waitlist for your first choice school, please complete this brief OOA Google Form . The form must be completed by the Parent/Guardian/Caregiver who submitted the application.
Applicants holding seats in a Specialized Program
If your child is currently holding a seat in a Specialized Program and they are now opting to accept an offer through Secondary Out-of-Area Admissions, please notify us by completing this brief Google Form. The form must be completed by the Parent/Guardian/Caregiver who submitted the application. Some TDSB applicants should also notify their current school of their decision. If you wish to retain your Specialized Program seat, you must decline any offer(s) made through Out-of-Area Admissions.
Applicants on waitlists for a Specialized Program
If your child is on a waitlist for a Specialized program and have been offered a seat through Out-of-Area Admissions, they can accept the Out-of-Area admissions seat without it impacting their status on the Specialized Program waitlist. Should an offer come for the Specialized Program and you accept that seat, you must release the Out-of-Area Admissions seat by completing this brief Google Form. The form must be completed by the Parent/Guardian/Caregiver who submitted the application. If you wish to retain your Out-of-Area seat, you must decline any future offer (Specialized Program, IPRC etc.)

I am on the waitlist for a requested school. What happens now?
If spaces become available in schools, applicants will be moved from the waitlist to the vacant seats. If your child is offered a seat, you will receive an email notification, along with an acceptance deadline. You must accept the offer prior to the acceptance deadline listed in the email notification. You can use your results link to see your position on the waitlist change over time.
Please note that some schools had no seats available in some grades, and there may be no motion up the waitlist.
What if I accept an offer now and change my mind?
Applicants may decide to attend their local school, a Special Education Intensive Support Program, or a French Immersion Program. If you accept this seat now and change your mind, please notify your current school or the applying Parent/Guardian/Caregiver can complete this brief Google Form before February 24, 2027 so that another student has the opportunity to take the seat.
My child is not a TDSB student and has accepted an offer through Out-of-Area Admissions. How do I get them registered?
A unique link to a registration package will be sent to your email address starting in mid-February, 2027. Please complete and submit the registration package and contact the school to arrange an appointment to provide the necessary documentation. Course selections will also be completed at this time. Registrations should be completed before noon on April 2, 2027.
My child is a TDSB student and has accepted an offer through Out-of-Area Admissions. What happens next?
Students in Grade 8 will have automatic access to the Out-of-Area school through myBlueprint and they will be supported in completing their course selections for next year. If your child is not currently in grade 8, you will receive a notification when they will be able to access the requested school through myBlueprint.
