As of May 22, 2024, the Board of Trustees approved a boundary change review involving Niagara St Jr PS, Ryerson CS, and The Waterfront School. Starting in September 2025, the local elementary and intermediate school for the Fort York area will change from Niagara St Jr PS and Ryerson CS to The Waterfront School.

Please note that for the 2024-25 school year only, students who reside in the Fort York area are given the choice to attend Niagara St Jr PS (for JK to 6) and Ryerson CS (for grades 7 and 8) or The Waterfront School (for JK to 8). After June 30, 2025, students residing in the Fort York area will no longer have the choice to attend Niagara St Jr PS (For JK to 6). Students interested in attending Ryerson CS in the 2025-26 school year will have to apply via Out of Area Admissions.
