EQAO–the Education Quality and Accountability Office–is an independent agency of the Ontario government. EQAO assesses elementary and secondary students’ achievement in Reading, Writing and Mathematics across the province.
EQAO data should be considered alongside other information–such as in-class assessment results, assessment data from report cards, and teacher observations–in order to provide a more fulsome picture of student learning.
The TDSB looks at EQAO achievement, along with various other data, to inform school improvement, resource allocation, teaching and learning activities, and the Multi-Year Strategic Plan overall.

The TDSB also produces a School Profile for every school. These profiles are used annually to report to parents on each school's EQAO results as well as school plans, programs, services, and student population. Profiles for each school in the TDSB can be found in the Find Your School area.
