IMPORTANT MESSAGE

This message is to advise that our office is now open and offering limited services. For the safety of our staff and clients, we would like to share our COVID-19 protocols, as outlined by Toronto Public Health.

  1. We will continue to also offer virtual services, where possible, including one-on-one meetings.
  2. In-person service is limited, so one-on-one meetings and/or use of the resource centre will be available by appointment only.
  3. Workshops will continue to offered online only until further notice. Details of upcoming sessions are below.
  4. Prior to entering the centre, staff and visitors are required to complete the online COVID self-assessment available at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/ and provide a confirmation that it was completed. If anyone is feeling unwell or have any symptoms, they should not enter the centre. We encourage those with symptoms to get tested at the nearest COVID-19 Assessment Centre: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/assessment-centre-locations/
  5. All staff and visitors must wear a face mask or covering, sanitize hands and adhere to physical distancing requirements.
  6. Signage about hand washing and proper respiratory etiquette will be prominent in the centre.
  7. We ask that visitors come to the centre alone to avoid crowding.
  8. Routine cleaning of general facilities and enhanced cleaning of high touch surfaces such as door handles.

Scarborough Centre for Employment Accessibility (SCEA)

The Scarborough Centre for Employment Accessibility (SCEA) is a fully accessible, drop-in employment resource centre to assist job-ready individuals prepare for employment or self-employment. 

SCEA is open to all job seekers, including people with a disability, who are unemployed or under-employed, newcomers, Ontario Works, ODSP recipients, youth and adults. We offer access to a variety of specialized employment-related information, equipment, self-help resources, materials and tools. All of our services are free.

In addition to our training sessions for Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint, we also offer numerous tutorials/workshops, to assist you in conducting a successful work search. All sessions are FREE!
