The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.

The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.

The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Ward web page. Whether you are a student, parent or resident, as your elected representative for the TDSB, it is my role to advocate on your behalf. On the TDSB site, and on this page, you can stay informed on what’s happening at the Board, including policies under review, program updates and discussions around new initiatives to improve student success.

On this site, you can also learn more about ways you can get involved and participate in the education process, like attending Board meetings or checking out other volunteer opportunities. Education is a shared responsibility, and I welcome and encourage your participation in our public school system.

By Any Measure - OPSBA's new video on accessibility

The Ontario Public School Boards' Association has launched a new video titled "By Any Measure” to shine a spotlight on accessibility. The video showcases successful student and staff-led initiatives that are making accessibility integral to school culture in Ontario. This initiative is in partnership with the Ontario Student Trustees Association (OSTA-AECO) with support from the Government of Ontario.

BIOGRAPHY: About Jerry Chadwick

Trustee Chadwick feels honoured to have been elected to represent the students and community of Ward 22.  In this new role, Jerry is dedicated to improving student achievement, practising fiscal responsibility and re-establishing the community aspects of the trustee role.

As a former Scarborough student himself, Jerry attended Knob Hill P.S., Peter Secor P.S., Heron Park and Birchmount Park Collegiate.  Jerry retired on January 30, 2009- celebrating a 33 year career which included; Principal of Highcastle P.S., Principal of St. Margaret's P.S., Principal of Blantyre P.S., Vice Principal of Silver Springs P.S. and a teacher at; Bellmere P.S., Cornell P.S., Tecumseh P.S., Ellesmere Statton P.S., Buchanan P.S., Bliss Carman P.S. and Courcelette P.S.

In 1993, Jerry was honoured to be chosen as the recipient of the Anson S. Taylor Award for outstanding contributions to public education in Scarborough.  In 1993 and 1994 Jerry was chosen to participate in Project Overseas.  This rewarding and life altering opportunity flew him to Lesotho in Southern Africa to run workshops and professional development for teachers of this third world country. 

During his career, Jerry was very involved in the local teachers' federation, was a founding member of the Toronto Schools Administrators' Association and the Ontario Principals' Council.  Jerry is a life member of the Scarborough Music Theatre, where he pursues his passion for theatre.

Jerry and his wife Sandy have lived in Scarborough their entire lives. Their children, Stephanie and Tim, graduated from Wexford C.I. and SATEC@W.A.Porter, respectively. Jerry and Sandy enjoy regular trips to New York City to take in the theatre and the magnificence of the city. They have travelled to South Africa and are planning an Alaskan Cruise in the spring.  Jerry enjoys reading, golfing, relaxing at the Chadwick Cottage (near Bancroft) and walking his golden retriever, Spenser.
