The Toronto District School Board is proud to announce that it has been recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of Canada's Best Employers for Diversity 2023.
“I’m incredibly proud of this new designation which recognizes the hard work that TDSB has done over the years to improve the diversity and well-being of our staff and workplaces,” said TDSB Director of Education Colleen Russell-Rawlins. “We will continue to build upon our work to date so that our staff truly reflect the communities we serve.”
To create Canada’s Best Employers for Diversity 2023, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista and surveyed approximately 12,000 Canadian workers at companies with at least 500 employees. Participants anonymously rated their companies based on criteria such as age, gender, ethnicity, disability and LGBTQ+ equality. In addition to the survey, each company’s diversity-related best practices were analyzed and ultimately combined and ranked to create a list of the top 150 companies.
