Outdoor Learning
Outdoor spaces, including the schoolground, can foster authentic learning and should be considered an extension of the classroom. The TDSB has a long history of supporting outdoor learning, both through its EcoSchools program and Toronto Outdoor Education Schools (TOES).
The TDSB’s Outdoor Education Schools (TOES) website houses an archive of lessons that teachers can use at school, many of which are directly related to climate change. The Outdoor Learning Portal brings together information, ideas and resources to help support and encourage learning in the outdoors.
