Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Ward web page.


It is my privilege to be your elected public school board Trustee for Ward 6 – York South-Weston.

I was born and raised here in our community.  It is a community that I love, where I have developed many life-long friendships, and where I have chosen to raise my own family.

Growing up, it was impressed upon me the value and importance of building strong inclusive communities and to help your neighbour. These are the principles that guide me in public life and which I teach to my own children. 

I have worked and volunteered in various capacities growing up in our community and have had the opportunity of working with many of the children from many of local neighbourhoods. This is where I experienced firsthand many of the real economic and social challenges faced by many families. 

My role as your Trustee, is to advocate for you and your child, and to represent the needs of all students and parents/guardians across the Toronto District School Board. I have consistently advocated for getting the resources that our community schools need and believe we need to work together to advocate for the investments that help make a difference in our children’s lives.

On the TDSB website, and on this page, you can stay informed on what’s happening at the Board, including policies under review, program updates and discussions around new initiatives to improve student success. You can also learn more about ways you can get involved and participate in the education process, like attending Board meetings or checking out volunteer opportunities.

Education is a shared responsibility, and I welcome and encourage your participation in our public school system.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! I hope that you and your family had a safe and enjoyable summer.

As the elected public school board trustee for your community, my role is to advocate for you and your child, and to represent the needs of all students and parents/guardians in the Toronto District School Board.

As we prepare to return to a more normal school year, the TDSB is doing everything possible to ensure the health and safety of all school community members, while also providing the best academic experience possible for students, supporting mental health and well-being and considering the needs of families and staff. We will continue to take our direction from Toronto Public Health and the Ministry of Education and provide updates in a timely manner.

For the most up to date information on learning models, mental health and well-being resources, health and safety measures, our pandemic recovery plan and so much more, please refer to www.tdsb.on.ca/school- year-2021-22. This webpage will continue to be updated with relevant information and resources to help support you and your family.

I want to thank you in advance for your understanding, patience, and partnership as we work together to welcome both students and staff back to school and overcome any challenges that may arise due to the on- going pandemic.
