Scarborough Centre for Alternative Studies


Scarborough Centre for Alternative Studies (SCAS)  is a dual track school that offers educational opportunities to learners (21 and over)  in our Adult Program and to high-school aged young adults (18 - 20) in the  EdVance Program.   The EdVance Program  is for students who need a new learning experience for re-entry to school, preparation for university, college, apprenticeship, and graduation.

For Adult students (21 and over) we also have career focused programs.
 
Our Medical Office Administration program prepares students for a variety of jobs in the Health Care field. 
 
In the Hairdressing Program students can qualify to become hairstylist apprentices.
 
The Fix-It Shop is an 18 week pre-apprenticeship Carpentry program. Students achieving 70% are accepted into the carpenters' union. Both the hairdressing and carpentry programs earn students high school credits. Both programs have limited enrolment.
