Dublin Heights Elementary and Middle School

Dublin Heights' motto is: Scholarship, Leadership, Character.

Dublin Heights E&MS has a proud tradition (going back to 1823), of educating young people in the Bathurst and Sheppard community.

  • Our over 862 students represent over 20 language groups. Russian is the predominant first language among our English as a second language students. Almost one-half of our students speak English as a second language.
  • Dublin Heights E&MS hosts Special Education programs, including Grades 7 and 8 Gifted programs, a Physical Needs program, and Grades 5-8 Deaf and Hard of Hearing District-wide programs.  Students are integrated into regular classes and resource support is provided as required by available support staff.

Dublin Heights E&MS is wheelchair accessible for all students and the community at large. The Dublin Community Child Care, which provides before and after school care, moved into a new facility in March 1999.
Staff and community believe that our students must:
-Engage and succeed in relevant, dynamic learning experiences designed to meet their diverse social, academic and co-curricular needs.
-Be actively involved in the school community, exhibiting confidence, social competence and critical thinking
-Feel empowered to present their viewpoints and negotiate options
-Work with each other, as well as school staff, in an atmosphere based on mutual trust, safety and respect.
