Health & Safety Issue ObservedStaff/student observed drinking directly from a drinking fountain
Health & Safety Issue DetailsOther: Students at lunch observed eating indoors with peers not from their morning class, not maintaining a minimum distance of two metres/six feet, and not always masking when not eating. There are also no observed designated specific eating areas for specific groups of students, no observed attempts to limit the number of students eating lunch in proximity to each other, no observed decals on the floor or visual aids to facilitate physical distancing, and no observed encouragement to have quiet lunches to reduce the potential for spreading respiratory droplets. The employer is responsible for having measures and procedures are in place to ensure that physical distancing, cohorting, and masking is maintained by occupants during lunch routines to help control exposure to COVID19.

Corrective ActionPrincipal to remind staff/student that drinking fountains are not to be used at this time. Only bottle filling is allowed at designated fixtures.
Corrective Action TakenCOVID 19 safety reminders will continue to be read each morning during the announcements. Additional floor decals for distancing will be added in addition to the directional decals and safety signs already erected. There is a regular routine for Admin and safety monitors to remind students of masking requirements when not eating, this practice will continue and we will encourage our teenage youth to have quiet lunches.
