Google Translate Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome

Thank you for visiting my Trustee Website.

As the elected school board trustee for Toronto-Danforth, I serve you. I am your link with the Toronto District School Board, which governs Toronto’s public schools. I act as your advocate and ‘sounding board,’ should needs arise. I also make decisions on matters of policy, budget and administration, with the rest of the trustees on the Board — decisions that are informed by the advice of staff, and by our constituents.

I believe we all have a role to play to help our public schools thrive.

What does a trustee do?

Enjoy this short video - TDSB Trustees.

We are, more than ever, working hard to ensure that all students, regardless of their lived experience or identity, get what they need to achieve, We are also committed to supporting student well-being, because we know students need support in a variety of ways, not just academically, to be ready and able to learn.

These objectives are put into action through our Multi-Year Strategic Plan, which outlines our mission, values and goals in support of student success.

Your involvement in your child’s education and school life will contribute to their success. There are a number of ways you can get involved. To explore these opportunities please speak to your classroom teacher, School Council Chair or Principal or visit www.tdsb.on.ca/Elementary-School/Get-Involved. You will find helpful resources for both parents and students here, including homework tips, transportation updates and supports for mental health, healthy living and anti-bullying Information.
