Important Update on How to Apply

Important Notice: Transition to True North and Flywire Effective October 1, 2026

Dear Students, Families, and Recruitment Partners,

We would like to inform you of an important update regarding the application and payment processes for the TDSB International Student Program.

Effective October 1, 2026, all new applications and renewals must be submitted through True North. As part of this transition, all application fees and tuition payments will be processed through Flywire, which is fully integrated with the True North system.

Instructions for How to Make Tuition Fee Payment via TRUE North/Flywire:

Log into your TRUE North account.  Once logged into True North, click the “Pay Now with Flywire” button to be directed to the Flywire payment page connected to your True North account.

Please note that bank drafts, certified cheques, and conventional wire transfers will no longer be accepted. Beginning October 1, 2026, all applications, renewals and tuition fee payments must be made through Flywire via your TRUE North account.

We apologize for any inconvenience this transition may cause and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we implement this new system.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

WARNING:

The International Students and Admissions Office has been made aware of several scams/frauds that are targeting international students. These scams involve sending fraudulent Letters of Acceptance/Invoices that look like they are from TDSB. If you have any concerns about whether a Letter of Acceptance is real, or whether you should pay an invoice, please feel free to connect with us at [email protected] or 416-395-8120.

How To Apply

Step 3: Successful applicants receive Official Letter of Acceptance (OLA) and apply for a Study Permit and Visa to Canada.

Placement decisions are based on our evaluation of students’ academic standing and space availability at the requested TDSB schools. At any time during the application process, the International Students and Admissions Office may request verification of submitted documents and/or the information contained therein.

International students are not eligible to apply for specialized programs (e.g. Special Education, French Immersion, the International Baccalaureate Program, and regional arts and sports programs). All regular-track, in-school programs are open to them.
