Important Information for February 2027 Intake Students

We warmly welcome all new international students joining the Toronto District School Board for the February 2027 semester. Before arriving in Toronto, please review the following important information.

Reporting and Orientation Schedule

The following schedule applies to all new elementary (Kindergarten to Grade 8) and secondary (Grades 9 to 12) international students.

Registration at School

After completing the reporting process, the student's parent or custodian may contact the assigned school by phone or email to arrange an appointment for registration and, where applicable, course selection.

The parent or custodian must accompany the student to the school for in-person registration.

Orientation

All new international students and their parents or custodians are required to attend the in-person orientation session on January 30, 2027.  The location will be confirmed and posted on this webpage by mid-November.

Our Guidance Counsellors for International Students (GCIS) team will provide important information about school programs, renewal requirements, TDSB support services, and emergency medical insurance. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Late Reporting

Students who are unable to complete reporting during the scheduled January 18–27, 2027 reporting period due to visa delays, travel arrangements, or other circumstances should contact the International Students and Admissions Office for further instructions.
