Trustee Alexander Brown was acclaimed Chair of the Toronto District School Board during this evening’s annual Organizational Board meeting. Trustee Christopher Mammoliti was elected Vice Chair.

Chair Brown was first elected in 2014 as the Trustee for Ward 12 (Willowdale). Prior to acclamation, he was elected as Chair of the Board in August 2020 during a Special Board Meeting. Chair Brown currently sits on the following TDSB committees: Governance and Policy Committee, Special Education Advisory Committee, Environmental Sustainability Community Advisory Committee, LGBTQ2S Community Advisory Committee, Urban Indigenous Community Advisory Committee, and was a long-term director with the Toronto Lands Corporation.

First elected as a Trustee for Ward 4 (Humber River - Black Creek) in 2018, Christopher Mammoliti previously served as Chair of the TDSB’s Government and Policy Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee and Director Search Committee. A strong believer in diverse thinking, Mammoliti is looking forward to working collaboratively with his fellow trustees to present a united front during his term.
