The Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement, in partnership with students, families, community, Elders and staff, share resources that support Black student achievement, well-being and belonging. Additionally, in collaboration with various TDSB departments, and community organizations, the Centre of Excellence offers resources aimed at dismantling anti-Black racism and supporting students and families.

Graduation Coaches for Black Students

The Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement has five graduation coaches who have offices in different areas of Toronto. They plan and execute programs to support Black students and provide mentorship to improve student success and achievement outcomes. The Graduation Coaches for Black Students also implement strategies to provide equity of access for students and communities and are responsive to student, family and community needs.

The Centre of Excellence for Black Student Achievement focuses on improving the academic outcomes and experiences of belonging for Black students. The Centre of Excellence strives to support meaningful engagement and advocacy of caregivers and communities, improve communication about Black student success and provide guidance with system navigation.
