Google Translate Limitations Disclaimer

The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.

The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.

The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.

The Toronto District School Board is committed to equity and community engagement, and by providing this tool, we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English.

Education and Training Sessions

The Integrity Commissioner provides educational programs to Board Trustees, which include, Board Trustee training sessions, one-on-one meetings, annual reporting and posting of directives, guidelines and best practices on the TDSB webpage of the Office of the Integrity Commissioner.

One-on-One Introductory Meetings

The Integrity Commissioner requested meetings with individual Board Trustees to introduce herself and provide a high level overview of her role and to discuss the important principles of the Code of Conduct. Meetings were scheduled in May, June and July of 2016 and following the by-elections that occurred in 2016. 

Training Session: Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct training session was provided to Trustees by the Integrity Commissioner on September 13, 2016 and included information about the historical events at the Board that led to the development of the Code of Conduct and the creation of the Office of the Integrity Commissioner.
