King Edward Junior and Senior Public School

School History

Edward VII (Albert Edward) (1841 - 1910) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India from 1901 until his death in 1910. He was the first British monarch of the House of Saxe-Coburg , which was renamed the House of Windsor by his son, George V. This school was named in honour of King Edward, who ascended the throne of Britain the same year the new school was built (1901).
