Student Trustee 1

Ivy Deng

Ivy Deng is a grade 11 student at Earl Haig Secondary School in North York. She became involved in Student Senate in 2017 to support and advocate for students. Then, she served as the Art and Logistics Coordinator for Learning Center’s 2 initiative, PRISM: the Art of Self. PRISM is an art gala that showcases artworks and performances from TDSB students.

When not doing work related to student advocacy, Ivy is also extremely interested in the arts and sciences. In her free time, Ivy usually works on her programming skills, or paints and sketches.

During her term, Ivy hopes to integrate more technological education into the curriculum, while also ensuring equitable access to resources for students across the board.
