Ellesmere-Statton Public School (GR. JK-08)
Ellesmere-Statton Public School is a large school of approximately 630 students, servicing a culturally diverse community in the Kennedy Road and Ellesmere Road area. It is the amalgamation of two schools, Ellesmere School (S.S.#5), originally built in the 1840's, and Wendell Statton Senior School, built in 1973.
At Ellesmere-Statton, we emphasize a strong link to our school's history, and have a number of important traditions, including community barbeques, strong co-curricular programs, athletic programs, student recognition and values assemblies, and a growing community partnership.
For all of our students, we are committed to providing a learning environment that is safe, positive, nurturing, and respectful.
