The Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board are experiencing school bus delays. In particular, parents of students who use Attridge Transportation, Wheelchair Accessible Transit or Sharp Bus Lines should expect significant delays and the possibility that some buses may not be running due to an unanticipated bus driver shortage. We are working to fix this issue as soon as possible.

J R Wilcox Community School (GR. JK-08)

J.R. Wilcox Community School is located on the corner of Atlas Avenue and Ava Road, south of the Allen Expressway. The school is 92years old.

  • The school serves approximately 310 students representing approximately 23 different language groups. About a third of the students speak English as a second language.
  • We are a candidate school of the International Baccalaureate Schools (IB).  We have begun to implement the Primary Years Program (PYP) for all students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6.  For more information
  • There are 4 Intensive Support Programs - two classes  for students with Learning Disabilities, a Kindergarten Intervention Program (KIP) and a Kindergarten Diagnostic class. There is also a Home School Program.
