Toronto District School Board

The Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board are experiencing school bus delays. In particular, parents of students who use Attridge Transportation, Wheelchair Accessible Transit or Sharp Bus Lines should expect significant delays and the possibility that some buses may not be running due to an unanticipated bus driver shortage. We are working to fix this issue as soon as possible.

Essex Junior and Senior Public School (GR. JK-08)

Work Hard, Work Smart, Work Together!

In 1989 Essex Senior School and Christie Junior School were twinned and became Essex Jr. and Sr. Public School. The school was built in 1964. Essex is located north of Bloor Street and west of Christie Street.

  • It is a JK to Grade 8 school with full rotary in Grades 7 and 8.
  • The number of students currently attending is 285
  • The Essex Community is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for everyone involved in the school community.
  • The Parenting Centre runs a very active program for about 90 families.
