Toronto District School Board

The Toronto District School Board and Toronto Catholic District School Board are experiencing school bus delays. In particular, parents of students who use Attridge Transportation, Wheelchair Accessible Transit or Sharp Bus Lines should expect significant delays and the possibility that some buses may not be running due to an unanticipated bus driver shortage. We are working to fix this issue as soon as possible.

Lanor Junior Middle School (GR. JK-08)

Lanor Junior Middle School is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 school located in the west end in the Alderwood neighbourhood. Built in 1952, the school was originally a Junior school. It became a JK - 8 school in 1984 when Franklin Horner Middle School was closed. Children in  Kindergarten through Grade 8 come from the immediate area. They are joined by students from Sir Adam Beck Junior School in Grade 6. Our approximately 295 students are served by a principal, 1 office administrator, 15 teachers, 2  assistants, 2 lunch supervisors, and 2 caretakers. Many of our students' parents attended Lanor and many work locally in the community.  Our School Council supports many activities which enrich the life of our school.
