New CEO Named at Toronto District School Board

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) announced today that Camillo Cipriano has been appointed as the board’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Stacey Zucker, who has served as Interim Director of Education since the end of 2025, will continue in a key executive leadership role as the Board’s new Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer.

With nearly 30 years in public education, Mr. Cipriano is currently the Director of Education and CEO at the Niagara Catholic District School Board, where he has served since 2020 following senior leadership roles at the Halton Catholic District School Board.

Mr. Cipriano has demonstrated not only an unwavering commitment to student and staff achievement, but also a dedication to strengthening confidence in the organization’s financial and operational practices. During his tenure in Niagara, the board improved its financial position, moving from deficits to surplus, and achieved gains in student outcomes, including improved EQAO performance, particularly in math.

His first day at the TDSB will be June 8, 2026.

  • Camillo Cipriano received his Honours Bachelor of Commerce at McMaster University and his Master of Education at Niagara University Graduate School.
  • Stacey Zucker will remain in the position until Mr. Cipirano’s appointment takes effect, after which she will be promoted to the TDSB’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer.
