Categories: News

Chartland JPS students participate in Girls4Tech event.Students at Chartland Junior Public School recently participated in an engaging day of hands-on STEM learning through the Girls4Tech program, an initiative designed to inspire girls to explore careers and opportunities in technology.

More than 40 students in Grades 3 to 6 took part in interactive workshops that introduced key concepts such as cryptology, algorithms, digital technologies and fraud detection. Through collaborative activities and problem-solving challenges, students developed new skills while gaining confidence in their abilities as young innovators.

The program brought together a wide range of learners, all working side by side to explore STEM in an inclusive and supportive environment.

By highlighting diverse pathways in technology, Girls4Tech helped students see that careers in tech are open to everyone and challenged stereotypes about who belongs in STEM fields. Students left the experience feeling inspired, empowered and eager for more opportunities like this in the future.
