Categories: News

Student Hannah S. from John Fisher Public School was recently announced the winner of the 2023 Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN) Poster Challenge in the Toronto Region. Her exceptional artwork will now grace the walls of courthouses across Ontario.

The competition challenged students to use their artistic talent to demonstrate their understanding of justice in Canada. Here are a few comments from the jury about Hannah's Work:

"A unique and beautifully drawn poster - all elements were incorporated beautifully with great awareness and a great perspective and understanding of justice in Canada."

"Incredibly detailed (the provincial flags, for example). Clean, yet artistic and vibrant, and inclusive of many different populations and communities."

"I greatly appreciated the incorporation and representation of Canada's diverse communities and populations, including people with disabilities and indigenous communities, just to mention a few."

"I chose Hannah's poster as I liked her attention to detail and I feel she captures a lot that makes Canada, Canada!"

Congratulations, Hannah!

We also extend our congratulations to Arya, also from John Fisher Public School, for securing the runner-up position in the competition. Arya's artwork displayed remarkable maturity and attention to detail, captivating the jury with its unique style and perspective.
