Bloor CI Student Wins International Science Award, Heads to National Fair

Categories: News

The Bloor Collegiate Institute and TDSB community is proud to congratulate Grade 10 student Arushi Nath, who continues to shine on the global science stage.

Arushi was selected for the second year in a row to represent Team Canada earlier this month at the prestigious Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) — the world’s largest high school science competition.

At the 2025 ISEF in Columbus, Ohio, she earned the Third Award in Physics and Astronomy for her project, NEPTUNE: N-body Exoplanet Prediction Using TTV for Unseen Exoplanets, a cutting-edge study on detecting exoplanets through transit timing variations.

Arushi was also successful at the 2025 Toronto Science Fair, receiving a Gold medal, the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Award, and the University of Toronto Scarborough Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences Award.

Arushi will now represent Team Toronto at the Canada-Wide Science Fair, taking place in Fredericton, New Brunswick from May 31 to June 7.

Congratulations, Arushi! And congratulations and thank you to Ms. Craigie and the BCI team for their continued support and mentorship of emerging student researchers.
