Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers,
Thank you for your understanding as we navigate the fluctuating air quality in Toronto.
While we continue to monitor the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI), the past few days have shown us that it is incredibly difficult to predict air quality level in advance, as it is constantly changing throughout the day and varies from location to location within Toronto.
Going forward while forest fires in Quebec and northeastern Ontario continue, Principals will check the AQHI throughout the school day and make a determination to either proceed with outdoor recess and activities (level 1-6 on the AQHI) or consider moving indoors (level 7-10), based on local conditions. Students who wish to stay inside and/or are experiencing symptoms will be accommodated. Please speak directly to your child’s teacher or school principal.
