Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers,
As shared yesterday, Environment Canada has issued a Special Air Quality Statement and air pollution levels are expected to be high risk (7-10 on the Air Quality Health Index) over the next several days. In anticipation of these conditions, all outdoor activities, including recess, athletic events, field trips and local school events on Thursday, June 8 will be moved indoors or rescheduled.
A decision regarding outdoor activities for Friday, June 9 will be determined on Thursday.
We will continue to monitor the Air Quality Health Index and follow advice from Environment Canada and/or Toronto Public Health and provide further updates, as required.
TDSB schools and sites will also continue to ensure that HEPA air filter units are being used where possible.
