Kensington Community School welcomed an International Delegation from Brazil this month, with Principal Gary Pieters and students in grades 5 and 6 acting as ambassadors for the day. The delegation to visit the regular stream; Autism Intensive Support Program and Kindergarten classrooms.
The delegation of educators and administrators were engaged in meaningful conversations and were able to learn how KCS and the TDSB in general deliver Ontario Curriculum to ensure students meet overall Provincial expectations. Delegates were able to see learning in action, with visits to a number of classrooms including Kindergarten and the school's Autism Intensive Support Program.
Principal Pieters shared, "I appreciated the time and efforts of all staff and students who extended a warm welcome to the delegation; led the tours of our school and classrooms; met with the delegation, and answered the many questions which they asked about curriculum, teaching and learning delivery."
