Students and staff from Market Lane JSPS and Downtown Alternative School had the opportunity to host Olympic champion sprinter and recent Order of Canada recipient Andre De Grasse. Students had the chance to ask De Grasse questions about his experience representing Canada on the world stage, his journey as an athlete, and his tips for reaching your goals. The visit also featured a sneak peek at his new kids comedy series, On Track with Andre De Grasse*, which premieres on CBC Gem on September 26.
*In On Track with Andre De Grasse, the Canadian sprint star travels back in time to meet his 10-year-old self. Andre is determined to keep his younger self on track — but Young Andre has other ideas, and isn't exactly interested in taking life advice from his future self. The series draws on De Grasse's own childhood and his journey from Scarborough and Markham to becoming one of Canada's most decorated Olympians.
