- What is the school year calendar for 2009-10?
The official school year calendar for the Toronto District School Board runs from September 2, 2009 to June 30, 2010, inclusive.
- What is my local school?

- I don’t want to register my child to attend my neighbourhood school. How do I register for another one outside my community?
Students also have the opportunity to access schools outside of the school that is designated to serve their residential address by applying on optional attendance.
- How do I find out more about school programs?
The TDSB offers a wide range of programs.
- How do I find out more about transportation for my child?
The TDSB wants to ensure all students get to and from school safely. Your child may be eligible for transportation to and from school in certain circumstances.
- Can I attend a TDSB school if I am not from Canada?
Yes! The TDSB is proud to be one of the most diverse and multicultural school boards in the world. We welcome students from all countries. Attending school in Toronto is a rewarding experience with many benefits. Toronto is a beautiful, clean and safe city.
- How do I get a copy of my transcript?
The TDSB makes transcripts available for former and current students upon request and for a small fee. There is an application form to complete to request a transcript, which must be completed and returned to the Central Transcript Office.
- What do I do if my child is being bullied?
The TDSB takes bullying very seriously and has a bullying prevention and intervention policy in place. Bullying is not accepted on school property, at school-related activities, on school buses, or in any other circumstances where engaging in bullying will have a negative impact on the school climate. Each school has a Safe and Caring Schools Team and procedures that allow students to report bullying incidents safely. If your child is being bullied at school, please contact the school directly.
- What do I do if my child is being suspended or expelled? What if I want to protest?
If your child is or is going to be suspended or expelled from his or her school, there are things that you can do that may be helpful. A What to do if your child is facing suspension or expulsion a pamphlet is available for more information. You can also call the Safe Schools office in your area of the city.
