There are two entry points to access Pearson on the TDSB Virtual Library: one for educators, and one for students. Before beginning with Pearson, TDSB educators should begin by clearing cache and cookies (see detailed instruction below):
Educators: visit Pearson through the link on the Educator Resources page of the Virtual Library. This link uses Single Sign On to identify the user as a teacher. No username/password is required. If educators must visit the student portal, they are encouraged to do so using a separate browser (or Incognito mode), and clear cache and cookies before returning to the educator portal.
Students: visit Pearson through the link on the Francais page of the Virtual Library. This link uses Single Sign On to identify the user as a student. No username/password is required.
To Clear Browser History and Cookies in Google Chrome
(this clears history for all pages for all time)
1. In Google Chrome, click the "3 dots" icon in the top right corner.
2. In the menu that opens, click History. In the next menu that opens, click History again.
3. In the window that opens, on the left hand side click Clear Browsing Data.
4. In the menu that opens, set the time range at the top to "All Time"
Make sure "Browsing History, Cookies, and Cached Images" check boxes are clicked.
5. Click "Clear Data" at the bottom.
