Sikh Heritage Month at the TDSB: Invitation to attend Sikh Heritage Month Wrap Up Celebration

Categories: News

This year our theme for Sikh Heritage Month at the TDSB is Kes (The word means simply “hair” and as a Sikh vow refers to uncut hair.)

During the month of April, numerous events were held to mark Sikh Heritage Month at the Toronto District School Board for our students, staff and the TDSB community to further learn about Sikhism.   Our celebration began with a presentation by Gurdeep Pandher (@GurdeepPandher), a Yukon based Bhangra dance artist, and continued with other events that included author Navjot Kaur and performances from our students (Sikh Heritage Month Virtual Celebration).  Our students and staff enjoyed an informative panelist discussion with two well accomplished individuals:  Rajbinder Grewal, a Toronto area digital content creator and a Cityline Style Expert and Gurpreet Ahluwalia, a marketing consultant and stylist, and co-founder of Eighteen Layers.

Join us as we continue to mark Sikh Heritage Month! All students, staff, and community members are invited to attend the TDSB Sikh Heritage Month Wrap Up Celebration. Details are noted below and on the flyer.
