Celebrating Latin/Hispanic Heritage Month with the TDSB

Friday, April 01, 2016
Categories: Great Things, Inclusive Schools, Student, Parent, and Community

April marks Hispanic Heritage month at the TDSB, where students can participate in a variety of events to learn more about the unique and dynamic population. As part of this special celebration, we commemorate the rich culture, achievements and contributions of Latin-Canadians.
As the TDSB is comprised of over 5000 students from Spanish speaking homes, we want to acknowledge and expand our understandings of the culture as we continue to create an inclusive and welcoming school community.

The month also offers TDSB schools, students, staff and community the opportunity to showcase the culture and highlight notable contributions, experiences and traditions of the Hispanic-Canadian community.

Our Mission
To enable all students to reach high levels of achievement and well-being
and to acquire the knowledge, skills
and values they need to become responsible, contributing members of
a democratic and sustainable society.
