Regal Road P.S. Student Daniel Hamilton is a Tween Cooking Sensation!

Monday, October 07, 2013
Categories: Great Things, School Web Stories

Have you ever had a gourmet meal made by an 11 year old child? Well, step back and meet Regal Road's cooking sensation, Chef Daniel Hamilton. This past summer, Daniel boarded a flight to Los Angeles to compete on Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off on the U.S. Food Network!

When asked how Daniel got on the show as the only Canadian child, he gushes, "my mom sent my Quiteabite videos from YouTube to the producers in California and New York as an audition video. Then, a few months later they sent a producer from New York to my house in Toronto to test my skills. It was quite a long process. This went on for about 6-7 months. My mom and I really didn't believe that this was really happening--that I was going to cook with Guy Fieri and Rachael Ray! Really?”

Daniel has definitely been busy since his return from Los Angeles making a guest appearance on The Morning Show with Liza Fromer, and featured in articles in Tweenhood online magazine, Share Magazine, and Eat Your Breadgies online magazine.

At only 11 years old, Daniel's future looks sunny side up!
