Good afternoon TDSB Parents/Guardians,

We know that some families and students will choose to continue learning remotely for a period of time for a variety of reasons. During this transitional time, it is incredibly important for students to remain connected to their school, classroom and teacher. Educators will continue to update virtual learning platforms.

For elementary students,
asynchronous (not live) learning will be available for those choosing not to return to in-person learning. For secondary students, simultaneous learning (teaching both in-person and virtual/remote students at the same time) may be an available option as many classes were already being delivered using this method.

Additional learning resources for families and students are available on the TDSB website to access directly, if interested. These resources are to supplement classroom learning and not to replace the direct connection with a student’s class and in-person teacher.

We are also excited to launch a live stream series of rich and relevant learning opportunities, led by community-based educators and TDSB staff. Join us in learning that promotes positive identity development, enhances joy and belonging and affirms the well-being of students. Classes, students and families can view the calendar of events and join experiences here: Broadcasted Learning Experiences. Thank you.
