Claude Watson School for the Arts (grades 4 - 8)
CWSA is a dynamic school which offers an arts education to students in grades 4 - 8. Each year 60 students are admitted into the grade four program. Students spend approximately half their day on the academic curriculum (language, French, math, science, social studies, health and physical education). The other half of their day is spent immersed in the arts. All students participate in dance, drama, music and visual arts. In Grade 5 students are introduced to digital arts.
Karen Kain School for the Arts (grades 6 - 8)
At KKSA the Ontario curriculum is taught through a differentiated program which integrates Dance, Drama, Vocal Music, Visual Arts and Media. Arts integration and a generalist approach to the Arts is what differentiates the curriculum and teaching strategies at KKSA. It is our expectation at KKSA that our students will continue to gain expertise in the arts and that they will become life long supporters and enthusiasts of the Arts.
