Eco School

Webster students participate in a rich environmental education program which encourages them to develop ecological literacy while engaged in practises to become environmentally responsible citizens.  Eco Schools helps improve school building operations to reduce environmental impacts.  Students monitor energy use, waste reduction, recycling, and composting.

Build Character, Build Success!

Student success is dependent on a safe, caring, inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued.  Much of this starts with teaching about the value of character, respecting themselves and each other, making positive contributions and thinking critically and creatively.  Each month we focus on one trait and recognize students who demonstrate the trait.

Student Success

Our program is shaped by a variety of sources of data.  We prepare our students for major transitions as they start school through our Welcome to Kindergarten program, grade transitions and grade eight to nine support.  We have community connections with TDSB personnel and outside agencies.

Toronto Foundation for Student Success

Our students benefit from our partnership with the Toronto Foundation for Student Success.  Annual vision and hearing checkups are offered to our students with care as required.  Students enjoy a  snack through our morning meal program made possible through the generosity of our volunteers/staff and our partnership with the Toronto Foundation for Student Success.

We Believe in You!
Charles E. Webster offers many opportunities to students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 to feel part of the life of the school. School uniforms of navy and white help create an atmosphere of learning and belonging.  Teachers plan creative and challenging lessons.  Student life includes a multitude of opportunities for academic and social development. We want every student to feel included, challenged and successful. Students are offered many leadership opportunities through our student council, student ambassadors, peer mediators program, student announcers, office helpers and door monitors.  Students can also participate in a wide variety of sporting activities.

We Are Proud of Our School!
Information technology is an integral part of our educational day.  We have become wireless in the entire school and continue to update our technology for all grades.
Our library is open to students all day.  The collection is continuously renewed and  reviewed for relevance and inclusiveness.
Students see themselves represented in the curriculum, program and culture of their school.
Authentic experiences and experiential learning are built into our programs.
We have a partnership of students, schools, family and community.  The uniqueness and diversity of our students and our community plus the commitment and skills of our staff, make Webster a wonderful learning environment.
