Ontario Early Years Centre
This program offers a place where parents, caregivers and grandparents with children aged 0-6 can: enjoy learning & literacy programs, learn about healthy child development and have the support of Early Years staff and members of their community. Pauline's site offers an Early Learning Drop-in and a number of pre-registered programs.
Communication with Parents - The Agenda
Students in Grades 1-6 all receive an agenda. We want our students to be strong independent learners. Students work with them daily and we encourage our parents to read the opening pages of the agenda for information about Pauline and to sign it daily. It is a great way to communicate with the teacher as well.
On-going Professional Development for our Staff
As life-long learners it is our goal to support student success. The staff members of Pauline PS - our Teachers, Early Childhood Educators, Educational Assistants, Office Staff and Caretakers- regularly participate in professional development. This is also supported through our Literacy and Numeracy Book Rooms which provide staff with resources to use in their classrooms.
Our school is committed to student success. Teachers conduct regular assessment to ensure programming is responsive to student needs. The School Support Team meets monthly to provide support/interventions for students and families. Complementing the regular programs, Pauline Jr PS has ESL and Special Education programs
