Special Education - ISP Developmental Disability

A valuable part of G.B. Little, are the students in our Primary, Junior and Intermediate Intensive Support D. D. classes.  These students work with their teachers to learn both academic and life skills.  In addition, these students are integrated throughout the school developing strong peer relationships and as ambassadors of understanding and perseverance.

Full Day Kindergarten

In September 2010, the school began as one of the first sites for the Early Learning Program. This initiative brings full day learning to Kindergarten for children four and five years-of-age. This program provides support for our youngest learners as they develop, play, learn and grow. In September of 2022 we welcomed our first French Immersion kindergarten class.

LEAP-Literacy Enrichment Academic Program

Learning together is the goal for students in our LEAP program (Grade 6 - 8).  Students in this specialized program come together from many countries, with many languages and varied educational experiences. They are new to Canada and the school system and are supported with intensive upgrading programs, with an emphasis on literacy and numeracy.

Pathways

For our Intermediate students, school initiatives focus on the development of critical thinking skills in all subjects.  A core/rotary timetable allows students the opportunity to develop strong connections with teachers and receive specialized instruction.
