The students are more than eager to support each other and offer their assistance during school wide initiatives; such as food drives. The student population is eager to join clubs and teams of all sorts. Chartland has clubs ranging from Social Justice Art Club, Knitting Club and Folk Dance. The students have an opportunity to participate in house leagues and on sports teams such as soccer, badminton, cross country and track and field. We have community event nights (e.g., movie night) and special activity days (e.g., track and field, play day, math day). The students of Chartland have a variety of opportunities that support the growth of a well rounded individual in an environment that is warm and inviting.

Chartland boasts the motto, "Little Hands Do Big Things." With the support of teachers, parents/guardians, volunteers and peers; the Chartland community works together to accomplish goals and objectives to learn and create an environment that every student can thrive in.

Chartland's vibrant School Council understands the importance of partnering and its positive affect on student achievement and school performance. The School Advisory Council (SAC) meets approximately five times a year to discuss matters that impact students and the overall school climate. Initiatives like the Read-A-Thon, selling food during school events, movie nights, pizza days etc. have fostered a positive community culture.
Chartland houses two rich and diverse community partners. Chartland Child Care is situated in our building and is a wonderful place for younger children to become accustomed to the facility before joining our JK program. Delphi Academy, located on the second floor, offers unique programming for high school students. We also support Faculties of Education, Agincourt Community Services, the Terry Fox Run, and The Royal Canadian Legion.
